Blues Ain't No Mocking Bird

1) What are some descriptions of Granddaddy Cain?  (List all you can find.  You'll need to compare him to Pa Sexton).
-He protects granny from going crazy "Granny goin crazy, and Granddaddy Cain pullin her offpeople sayin."
-He's quick and strong

2) What are some descriptions of Camera and Smilin' (is there anything ironic about their names?)
Camera- He is a camera man
Smilin'- He smiles a lot. "Smilin was smiling up a storm."


3) List all the allusions you can find.
-"Now aunty" (pg. 954) This was an allusion because Aunt Jamama (?) was a black women slave
-"Good mornin' he said, head all down the way Bingo does when you yell at him about the bones on the kitchen floor."
-Goldilocks (Invasion of privacy)

4) List descriptions of the setting?
-Well they talk about food stamps which was around 1964.
-Christmas... In the south

5) List examples of dialect.
"Been buzzin around all mornin'"
